Agronom Plants Farm is located in eastern Poland, in Lublin province.
For over 20 years we deliver to our customers high-quality nursery stock. Our long-standing relationships with clients based on an individual approach, mutual trust and repeatability of our plants.
Currently, the farm covers an area of about 700 hectares which provides us with the necessary in this type of production – field rotation.
Another important advantage is the possession of a very light, permeable soils, so
that we avoid the risk of stagnant water, which threatens the onset of serious diseases of the root system.
The knowledge that comes from several years of fruit production (Agronom Berries) gives us a much broader perspective on nursery production. So we look at it from the point of view of the grower. So we know how important in high quality fruit production is a plant and what attributes should meet.
Therefore, in order to meet the growing demands of our customers, we try to introduce new technologies and constantly deepen our knowledge by participating in many conferences around the world.
The experience and the high quality of our work has been appreciated by many customers in southern Europe, among others, Italy, Spain and Greece, where we have about 50 % of the market strawberry plants.
PRODUCTION OF STRAWBERRY PLANTS
As a rule, we use Basic 1 plants to establish new nursery. This plants are produced at our farm at a specially prepared tunnel for propagation and then grown in wooden boxes filled with coconut fiber. According to the phytosanitary measures, only one member of the staff is designated to have direct access to the cuttings to manage plant inventory on daily basis, tailor appropriate fertilizer rate and to schedule chemical treatments dates. Thanks to that, we are confident that the plants to be further planted out in the field ensure freedom from diseases and pests.
